Check Your Voter Identity Card Details Online

Having a valid Voter ID is very important both for identification and voting purpose. In this fast-paced world, everything is done online as it saves time. Gone are the days when you have to stand in a long queue to apply for a Voter ID Card or check the status. Nowadays you can check your Voter ID Card details online in just a few seconds.

What is a Voter ID card?

A voter ID card, also known as “Voter Registration Card” or an “Election Card” is issued to an Indian citizen by the Election Commission of India which acts as a proof of his/her citizenship and allows them to cast their votes in this country. This photo identity card helps in improving the accuracy of the electoral roll and to help prevent cases of electoral fraud.

Why is Voter ID Card so important?

It is a form of identity proof which can be used to avail services in this country.

It allows you to cast your vote in elections.

It proves that you are an Indian citizen.

It helps in reducing electoral fraud.

People with a valid voter’s ID can avail special offers which are rolled out by the Government of India from time to time. For example, you cannot apply for a ration card in India if you do not have a voter’s ID.

Steps to search for your Voter ID Card online

Visit the Electoral Search website. This website saves all voter’s information after 2 or 3 weeks of them applying for a Voter ID Card.

On the homepage of the website, you will have two options to find out your details. The first method is to type your Epic Number and the second option is to search by filling your personal information.

If you choose the first option, you will be required to enter your Epic Number, State, and the Security Code displayed on the screen and click on “search”. If you are a registered voter, your details will be displayed on the screen.

You can also choose “Search by details” option and enter details like your full name, age, date of birth, states, district, and your constituency and click on “Search” to find your Voter Identity Card details. If you are a registered voter, your details will be displayed on the screen.

2. Why should you check your name in the Voter List 2019?

If you are wondering – why should I check my name in voter list?- then read on. The Election Commission of India periodically updates the voter list. If it finds any discrepancies in details, the names of such voters are removed from the list. Some of the reasons for removal of name from voter list are: –

Death of the Voter

Fake Voter Details

Incorrect Particulars

Change of Address/ No longer living at the given address

If your name has been removed from the voter list due to any of the above reasons or by mistake, you will not be eligible to vote in the upcoming elections. It is therefore important for you to perform a regular voter list search.

Furthermore, if you have recently applied for inclusion of your name in the voter list, then you must check your name in the voter list. Otherwise, you will risk being denied the right to vote at the time of elections.

For your convenience, the Election Commission of India maintains an online voter list. Here is a stepwise guide to check your name in the voter list 2019: –

(i) Log-on to the official website of the election commission of India, i.e. https://eci.gov.in/

(ii) Scroll down the page, and towards the left side of your screen you will be able to see an option “Search Name in Voter List.” Click on it.

(iii) Here you can check your name in the voter list through two options: –

Search by Details: – This option is suited for new or existing voters

Enter all the details on the particular fields on the screen, i.e. your name, date of birth, gender, father/husband’s name.

Select the state, district or assembly constituency your name is registered in.

Alternatively, you can select your location with the help of the map tool displayed on the screen.

Enter the captcha code and click on the Search button.

Search by EPIC number: –

This option is suitable only if you are an existing voter.

On the screen, enter your EPIC number as displayed on your Voter ID.

Select the state you reside in.

Enter the Captcha code and click on the “Search Button.”

Irrespective of which of the above mentioned two methods you use to search your name in the voter list, you will be redirected to the result page.

If your name is on the voter list, you will be able to see the information on your screen.

If your name is not on the list, then you need to get in touch with your nearest Electoral officer and intimate them regarding this discrepancy.

You will be asked to fill the requisite forms and submit the necessary documents to process your application.

It is very important for you to check your name in the Voter List 2019 as otherwise, you will not be able to exercise your right to vote in any of the upcoming elections.

Most Imp For AMC Clerk exam : Ahmedabad district full detail

Most Imp For AMC Clerk exam : Ahmedabad district full detail

Founded by Sultan Ahmad Shah in 1411 AD, Ahmedabad, in the state of Gujarat, has grown into one of the most important modern cities of India. Straddling the Sabarmati river, this prosperous city of six million is a delight for archeologists, anthropologists, architects, histsorians, sociologists, traders, bargain hunters, and plain tourists.

An exciting combination of traditions and modernism, Ahmedabad captures all visitors with its diversity of places, religious and ethnic communities. It is interesting to see how Indian atmosphere mix with the colonial British influence, how Hinduism, the world's oldest existing religion develops in the globalising world.

 Location

Ahmedabad, India is the largest city in the state of Gujarat (there are 29 states, Gujarat is the westernmost one). The city was the capital of the state before 1970 and is now the administrative center of Ahmedabad district. It is the seventh largest agglomeration in India, located at the banks of the river Sabarmati and is also called Amdavad.

 Geography

Ahmedabad is Gujarat's largest city and the headquarters of Ahmedabad district . It is located on the banks of the River Sabarmati at an elevation of 53 metres (180  ft ). It has a dry climate. Its highest recorded temperature is 48.5°C and lowest is 5°C

 Time To Visit

There are three major seasons - winter (November- March), summer (April-June) and monsoon (July-October). During the summer the weather is extremely hot (up to 43-47 degrees Celsius) and dry. During the monsoon the climate is humid with average rainfall of 93.2 cm. and often heavy torrential rains cause the river Sabarmati to flood. Considering the temperatures the best time to visit is during the winter (5-20 degrees Celsius).

 Culture

Ahmedabad enjoys a thriving cultural tradition, being the centre of Gujarati cultural activities and diverse traditions of different ethnic and religious communities. Popular celebrations and observances include Uttarayan — an annual kite-flying day on 14 January. The nine nights of Navratri are celebrated with people performing Garba — the folk dance of Gujarat — at venues across the city. The festival of lights — Deepavali is celebrated with the lighting of lamps in every house, the decorating the floors with the rangoli and the bursting of firecrackers. Other festivals such as Holi, Eid ul-Fitr and Christmas are celebrated with enthusiasm. The annual Rath Yatra procession on the Ashadh-sud-bij date of the Hindu calendar and the procession of Tajia during the Muslim holy month of Muharram are integral parts of the city's culture. The people of Ahmedabad enjoy rich culinary traditions. The most popular form of meal — a typical Gujarati thali (meal) — consists of rotli, dal, rice and Shaak (cooked vegetables, sometimes with curry), with accompaniments of pickles and roasted papads. Popular beverages include buttermilk and tea; sweet dishes include laddoos and mango. There are many restaurants, which serve a wide array of Indian and international cuisines. Most of the food outlets serve only vegetarian food, as a strong tradition of vegetarianism is maintained by the city's Jain and Hindu communities. The first all-vegetarian Pizza Hut in the world opened in Ahmedabad.

 Festivals

There are a few festivals which are celebrated in special Gujrati style. i.e.
Kite Festivals The International Kite Festival is always held at Ahmedabad on January 14, to coincide with the festival of Uttarayan or Makar Sankranti. The people of Gujarat celebrate Uttarayan with a lot of enthusiasm and all business comes to a grinding halt for a couple of days. It is also a celebration to mark the end of winter.
Navratri - Navratri or the festival of nine nights is devoted to Goddess Shakti. The festival also has the famous folk dance of Gujarat "Garba". The festival continues for nine nights, everybody takes part into it with same emphasis. Garba is also played with Dandiyas in hand.

 Population

Ahmedabad has a population of over 5.5 million people. A lot of migrant workers from other areas of Gujarat including Kutch and Saurashtra and from the other states of Rajasthan and Maharashtra. They also came from the Pakistani province of Sindh live in Ahmedabad. Most of the native citizens speak Gujarati but the languages spoken in commerce, education, politics and government are Hindi and English. There is also a sizeable population of Punjabis, Marathis, Tamils, Malayalis and Marwaris, who bring their languages and cultures to the city. Ahmedabad enjoys great religious diversity - most of the people in Ahmedabad are Hindu, Jain, Muslim or Christian. Parsis and a community of Bene Israel Jews living in Ahmedabad.

 Districts

For administrative purposes Ahmedabad is divided into 5 zones and 43 wards. But in fact it is divided by the River Sabarmati into two regions - Western and Eastern part.
Eastern part - the old city, including the central part of Bhadra. This part of Ahmedabad reveals typical Indian traditions and infrastructure - there are numerous places to worship, the buildings are named pol (housing cluster which comprises many families linked by caste, religion or profession). Typical for the old city are also packed bazaars, the Main railway station and the General Post office are also situated there.

Westren part - also called the modern city, thriving industrial and business center. It developed during the colonial period, related to the construction of 2 bridges (that also became landmarks) that connect the Old and the Modern part of Ahmedabad- Ellis Bridge (constructed originally by British engineers) and Nehru Bridge (dedicated to Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first prime minister).

 Airport

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is just 15 km north-east from the city-centre. The airport consists of the International and the Domestic Terminals. They both use the same airside facilities but are separated on the landside, with a 5-minute distance between them.

 Transport

The efficient ways of traveling around Ahmedabad:
Rickshaw: Yellow and Green three-wheeled taxicabs known as the Autorickshaws or Rickshaws. Most of the drivers are able to understand Hindi and maybe some basic words of English. They are quite helpful and are not known to cheat tourists. Taxis are less common so you will need to book them in advance. They are also available at the airport or railway station.

Buses:

AMTS/BRTS  There are several bus stands in the city which will take you to various parts of the city. The major station in Ahmedabad is Idgah Station. Gujarat State Transport Corporation maintains and runs buses in Ahmedabad and private buses/coaches can also be hired. For using these buses you should either know some words in Gujarati or ask local people to help you. Since buses are commonly used, they usually remain overcrowded. Take care of your luggage while travelling. AMTS Buses & BRTS Buses are being used mostly by Amdavadi for travelling.

The Ahmedabad railway station holds as a junction with railway lines emerging towards Mumbai, Delhi, Saurashtra and Kutch.

Ahmedabad's Strengths

Teachers working with Key Stage pupils might, for instance, focus on the subject content of science and develop science skills from these areas of experience. This product centred approach could, for example, give rise to oral explanations and demonstrations of scientific knowledge, and, from time to time, practical activities designed to provide direct experience of phenomena with opportunities to explore and investigate these phenomena. In providing a conceptual structure to help the learner build a functional mental representation, the teacher highlights what is relevant and the nature of the relationships between the elements. For example, the teacher might explain the compressibility of air in a bicycle pump by describing it as dispersed particles which may be brought closer or else by comparing it with the behaviour of a spring.
In contrast, teachers might focus on the processes of science and develop scientific conceptual understanding from it. This process-centred approach could, for instance, offer the children experiments and investigations as starting points for acquiring conceptual knowledge with little or no direct teaching of concepts. In this case a conceptual structure is withheld. The onus is on the children to recall or construct a functional mental representation without reference to a teachers' description of one. Pupils might infer relationships in the topic under study and may be given an opportunity to test and revise their ideas.
Of course, other teachers might focus on a combination of these two approaches and develop scientific skills and conceptual understanding from in this combination. This mixed approach could be a balance or, perhaps, a compromise, between a product-centred and a process-centred approach, in which the teacher provides a partial conceptual structure and leaves the remainder for children to construct by inferring, hypothesising, or testing their ideas. It could encourage lessons where children do investigations with some features already identified by the teacher, and with some conceptual knowledge about the subject that enables them to appreciate the purpose of the activity. In contrast, it could encourage lessons without a clear purpose which mixed different types of activity, but did not develop either conceptual or procedure understanding exclusively..

People always wonder how and when they shoud write an assigned paper for one of their classes. Personally I think the best papers are the ones that are written the night before they are due.

In high school, students are required to write several papers throughout the year, and eventually you will learn how both you and your teacher operate when it comes to papers. By this I mean, if you know your teacher will give you an "A" for a 3 page paper full of quotes, or a teacher who will write you rough draft for you, then you have learned how they "operate". After you know how your teacher operates, then it's time to figure out how you operate. Some people write their best papers on the night they are assigned, so that way they have plenty of time to revise them. Then there are those who write half of their paper a week in advance and write the other half a few days prior to the due date. But personally I believe my best papers are the ones I write the night before they are due. And in some cases the moring they are due.
The next time you are in your english class and your teacher tells you have a have a paper due on the novel you've just read, don't sweat it. Most teachers won't give you any other homework for the next week or so, in order to give you plenty of time to work on your paper, but my advice is 'don't use that time to work on your paper'. Relax, and work on the homework you have that's due the following day. Remember, you have a week to do the paper for a reason.

Science Activities and Experiments
Science activities help little learners of all ages understand important concepts, and these science activities for kids give them the opportunity to discover something completely new. What's more, science activities are fun! Some, like Oobleck, are messy. Others are impressive, like the classic erupting volcano project. Whatever activity you end up trying, your child will be developing new skills as he forms predictions and makes observations. No matter where your child's interests may lie, we have a science experiment that will teach him something cool and make him smile.

Gujarat Rozgaar Samachar (28 August, 2019)

Gujarat Rozgaar Samachar (28 August, 2019)

Rebellion is a knot of the heart, not of the mind. The key is to make deposits — constant deposits of unconditional love. I once had a friend who was dean of a very prestigious school. He planned and saved for years to provide his son the opportunity to attend that institution, but when the time came, the boy refused to go. This deeply concerned his father. Graduating from that particular school would have been a great asset to the boy. Besides, it was a family tradition. Three generations of attendance preceded the boy. The father pleaded and urged and talked. He also tried to listen to the boy to understand him, all the while hoping that the son would change his mind. The subtle message being communicated was one of conditional love. The son felt that in a sense the father’s desire for him to attend the school outweighed the value he placed on him as a person and as a son, which was terribly threatening. Consequently, he fought for and with his own identity and integrity, and he increased his resolve and his efforts to rationalize his decision not to go.

IAS Exam Question ::: 2 cows 2 days gives 2 litre milk ,how much milk gives 10 cows in 10 days

IAS Interview is the last and final stage of the coveted civil services examination. After this stage, aspirants are selected for different positions in civil services cadres including the top prize of IAS. Generally speaking, the IAS preliminary and mains examinations are conducted to test candidates’ academic and general awareness with regards to a diverse range of topics; on the other hand, IAS Interview like any other recruitment test the personality and temperament of the candidate.

Answer Of this puzzle :::
2 cows-----2days-------2 litre
1 cow-------2 days-------2/2 litre
10 cows-------1day--------(1×10/2) litre

Teacher’s day is celebrated every year on 5th September as a mark of accolade to the part played by the teachers in the society. 5th September is the birth anniversary of a great mentor Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan

Actually, this man, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was a friendly teacher and he was popular among his students for the example he always set in front of them. So, one day his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday in a lavish way. In return he said that it would be his pride and honor if they celebrate his birthday in respect of all teachers. And since then this day 5th September is celebrated as Teacher's Day.

Now, talking about the rest of the world, World Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th October and it started form 1994. It was UNESCO who started this tradition. The focus set by UNESCO was to celebrate the engrossment and accomplishment of teachers and also the primacies that they put on the field of education. Now why 5th October is taken up as the Teacher's Day? On this day in the year 1966, a special intergovernmental conference adopted the UNESCO endorsement regarding the statuses of teachers.

A teacher is a friend, philosopher, and guide who holds our hand, opens our mind, and touches our heart. The contribution of a teacher cannot be ignored at all. In many countries across the world, teacher's day is a special day where teachers of schools, colleges, and universities are honored specially. The date varies from country to country. The universally accepted World Teacher's Day is 5th October. In India, the Teacher's Day is celebrated on 5th September and this tradition started from 1962. This is the when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born. He was a philosopher, scholar, teacher, and politician and his dedicated work towards education made his birthday an important day in the history of India. We remember the great work of this exemplary person on this day.

Teacher’s day is celebrated every year on 5th September as a mark of accolade to the part played by the teachers in the society. 5th September is the birth anniversary of a great mentor Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was a grand advocate of edification, and was the distinguished envoy, academician, and India’s President, above all a great Teacher.

The future of the nation is in the hands of the children and indirectly in the hands of teachers. They play an important role in our lives to become successful in career and business. They help us to become a good human being in the society and good citizen of the country. Teachers provide data and information in the brain of students to analyse. Therefore, we can say that analysing and facing the situation, to find out the solution in the difficult situation, we basically learn from our teachers only.

Teachers should always be respected. Teachers need support and encouragement from the society to sense that their fidelity to scholars is treasured and cherished. In India, on the eve of Teachers Day, the National Awards are given to the Teachers by the President of India on 5th September. The award is given as a public gratitude to praiseworthy teachers working in the primary schools, middle schools and secondary schools.

Science Fair 2019-20 Circular

A science fair experiment is generally a competition where contestants present their science project, results in the form of a report, display board, and/or models that they have created. Science fairs allow students in elementary, middle and high schools to compete in science and/or technology activities.

What is Science Fair ?

Science fair is an opportunity for students to apply the scientific method to conduct independent research. The results of each student's ...

Preparation for a science fair should begin early in the fall semester with the selection of a topic which will lead to a problem that the student will wish to research. The student should explore various sources of information in order to gain a thorough understanding of the topic that he or she has chosen. Besides traditional sources such as library books, the student should research current periodicals, journals, Internet sources and interview professionals who are working within the same field of study. The student should learn “what research has already been done and what has been concluded regarding [the student's] question and also something about the procedures and rules of evidence in [the student's] particular field” (Manning-Schwartz, 1997). In other words, a complete study of the topic so that the student can design an intelligent and meaningful experiment. The research--or literature review--should account for at least half of the student's effort on the project; incomplete research on the selected topic is the most common grounds for science fair judges to disqualify projects for advancement.

A dictionary, sometimes known as a wordbook, is a collection of words in one or more specific languages, often arranged alphabetically (or by radical and stroke for ideographic languages), which may include information on definitions, usage, etymologies, pronunciations, translation, etc. or a book of words in one language with their equivalents in another, sometimes known as a lexicon. It is a lexicographical reference that shows inter-relationships among the data.

A broad distinction is made between general and specialized dictionaries. Specialized dictionaries include words in specialist fields, rather than a complete range of words in the language. Lexical items that describe concepts in specific fields are usually called terms instead of words, although there is no consensus whether lexicology and terminology are two different fields of study. In theory, general dictionaries are supposed[citation needed] to be semasiological, mapping word to definition, while specialized dictionaries are supposed to be onomasiological, first identifying concepts and then establishing the terms used to designate them. In practice, the two approaches are used for both types. There are other types of dictionaries that do not fit neatly into the above distinction, for instance bilingual (translation) dictionaries, dictionaries of synonyms (thesauri), and rhyming dictionaries. The word dictionary (unqualified) is usually understood to refer to a general purpose monolingual dictionary

The earliest dictionaries in the English language were glossaries of French, Spanish or Latin words along with their definitions in English. The word "dictionary" was invented by an Englishman called John of Garland in 1220 — he had written a book Dictionarius to help with Latin "diction". An early non-alphabetical list of 8000 English words was the Elementarie, created by Richard Mulcaster in 1582.

The first purely English alphabetical dictionary was A Table Alphabeticall, written by English schoolteacher Robert Cawdrey in 1604. The only surviving copy is found at the Bodleian Library in Oxford. This dictionary, and the many imitators which followed it, was seen as unreliable and nowhere near definitive. Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield was still lamenting in 1754, 150 years after Cawdrey's publication, that it is "a sort of disgrace to our nation, that hitherto we have had no… standard of our language; our dictionaries at present being more properly what our neighbors the Dutch and the Germans call theirs, word-books, than dictionaries in the superior sense of that title.
