uni card : easiest way to get credit limit.

Uni Pay 1/ 3rd Card Review

Uni Cards that raised$18.5 million in backing has lately come up with their Uni Pay 1/ 3rd card as their first immolation in an attempt to ameliorate the stoner experience in credit card assiduity. Then’s everything you need to know about the Uni Pay 1/ 3rd card,

 What’s Uni Pay 1/ 3rd Card?

Uni Pay 1/ 3rd card is technically NOT a credit card indeed though it works largely analogous to a typical credit card on the face. Its principally a PayLater card (or) Pay 1/ 3rd card, meaning, you can spend INR this month and pay INR a month for coming 3 months without any interest/ figure.

The tech subcaste is relatively intriguing as it uses

RBL/ SBM bank’s Repaid card system on the face that gives access to Visa

NBFC mate (LiquiLoans) that gives access to the credit line.

So immaculately speaking its a domestic repaid card and so you can not use it for transnational deals or cash recessions and may also have problems in lading holdalls, as RBI rules help that to be, which still is anticipated to be cleared in many months.

Then’s a nice and short videotape by Uni Cards which reminds me of the movie 47 Ronin.

Freights & Charges

 Joining Figure Nil

 Renewal/ Annual Fee Nil

Interest on revolving quantum Late freights only, as per the arbor

It’s immaculately a Continuance Free card (for now) and comes with a decent late figure arbor system ( rather of diurnal interest ).

 Prices

1 Cashback to card (if paid in full)

The system splits “ each payment” into 3 corridor by dereliction, but you can still choose to pay in full and enjoy 1 cashback.

The cashback system is super simple as you can choose the sale you want to pay in full in many gates and it incontinently adjusts the cashback to unbilled stmt, just like below.

It’s surely a good experience, still 1 is indeed bit low indeed for entry- position cards as we ’ve cards that gives 2 cashback these days.

That said, Unicards does mention that they ’re working on a prices system that allows you to earn Uni Coins along with a Uni Store that gives 5X prices ( perhaps like HDFC smartbuy).

 Design

Uni Card comes with a neat and clean design with name on the front and card details at the reverse, just like utmost other ultramodern decoration cards issued these days.

The card comes in a mild slate/ tableware colour that looks decent.

Credit Limit

One of the most important aspect of an entry- position card is the credit limit, as utmost card issuers give a fairly low limit especially when its the first card with the bank.

Uni still states that they can issue cards with credit limits ranging from INR to 6 Lakhs which sounds promising.

That’s good for an entry- position card and my credit limit was nearly in the medial.

Credit Limit Improvement request can be transferred after 6 months of card allocation.

Unboxing

The card comes in a neat and well designed box that gives a veritably good decoration sense. Original prints were like unboxing an iPhone rather of a card, great work on that!

The box comes with

 The Uni Card

A Toblerone chocolate (Yeah!)

 A Mask ( good quality)

A personalised baggage label (looks beautiful)

Support

Yet another important aspect when it comes to entry- position cards is the client support, which is nearly missing in the assiduity because of the volume.

Still, Uni Cards comes with an excellent client support.

For partner, as soon as I showed interest for the card on website I got an dispatch from someone in the platoon to which I replied ( asking about IOS support, which is now available) and got a message in under 30 mins. Mind blowing!

Was also suitable to follow up on the same via WhatsApp support. That was a good experience.

Should you get Uni Card?

As always, it depends on your profile and the requirements. To add up, You get the following benefits with the Uni card

 Continuance Free Card

Gifts Mask Chocolate baggage label

Cashback 1 cashback on all spends – useful if your other cards do n’t give prices/ cb on certain txns

Pay Latterly Its like 0 EMI card for 3 months – veritably useful on high value/ exigency spends.

Offers Zomato pro for 3 months – we may have further similar offers in future.

Except for the prices, it scores well in utmost otheraspects. However, it makes a lot of sense to hold one, If you ’re new to credit cards.

How to Apply?

Apply Via Android or IOS app

The operation process is super simple. Just download the app and follow the method . It hardly takes

5 twinkles (or) lower to complete

They validate your identity via Aadhaar and a selfie.

The app uses CRIF to check the eligibility, but once you do further and apply it likely uses both CRIF & CIBIL reports together for under- jotting, as I could see an enquiry on CIBIL via the NBFC mate ( marked as NDXP, which is actually LiquiLoans).

Your virtual card will be incontinently generated and ready for use as soon as you complete the operation process. Just make sure you turn on “ online deals” via app before going with your test charge.

The physical card reaches in the approx 3-5 days via Delhivery and the good news is that you can select your delivery address, just in case if its not the same as on Aadhaar – suitable useful point.

Overall the Uni Pay 1/ 3rd card comes with a good onboarding experience, decoration hello tackle, good credit limit, decent prices and a great support system. Still, if you ’re into decoration cards and just looking for “ prices” also this may not look seductive to you.

Uni Pay 1/ 3rd Card is clearly UNIque and overall gives a veritably good experience for someone who’s new to the world of credit cards.

That said, I would be highly interested in seeing a premium credit card from Uni Cards – perhaps a black card with a black chocolate. 😀
